10/03/22 - Was on a trip to Tulsa in September and my fuel pump went out on me. Got towed to a local shop for replacement. On the way home noticed that the check engine light came on. When I got home I called Josh and he got me in right away. Turns out the Oklahoma repair shop bent the prongs on the sensor when putting the gas tank back in. Candace worked with the other repair shop's warranty company to get everything covered. She went above and beyond! Josh's entire team at Waterloo Automotive is top notch! 06/03/22 - Believe it or not, you can't just change your own battery now. Requires reprogramming the computer using a special tool (according to battery manufacturer). Called Josh and made an appointment, he was able to get me in within a week. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. Great group and great customer service. Thanks Josh! 04/08/22 - Did you know they do tires too? I've actually had Brian and his team do 4 sets of tires on my trucks and my wife's SUV. And they don't just carry a handful of select tires either. They can get probably anything. I just had them put on a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 2015 F150. Brian's price was competitive and, as always, the service was great. I called and he was able to get the tires and install them just two days later before I went on a road trip. Nothing better than a new set of tires! Thanks to everyone at Waterloo Automotive for another great service experience!

All four of my vehicles are serviced at Waterloo Auto (WA) and have been for nearly a decade. I have absolute trust and confidence in Josh and his team. Here are some specifics: 1) it makes everything easy that they have a record for each vehicle... it takes the guessing out of what was addressed and when. 2) before i purchase a used vehicle I take the vehicle to WA for a detailed inspection and have a report in hand to use for negotiating a better deal (or, know enough to avoid the purchase) 3) when the kids vehicles have been with them at college and away from home for an extended period... as soon as they return home I have WA do a bumper to bumper inspection... it's not as detailed as the used vehicle inspection but still very thorough to catch anything needing immediate attention 4) there is never a hard sale approach... when you receive a diagnostic report (via text or email) you have time to review it before calling them to discuss options 5) they provide a loaner vehicle in cases where they need more time to repair your vehicle 6) they will shuttle you to/from your home for quicker fixes 7) when my son was away at school in Columbia, MO and had a mechanical issue WA helped me find a trusted shop to make the repair and then included that repair into their system to make sure they had a record of the issue/repair. 8) it is RARE that the repairs aren't 100% but it happens ...and if it does... WA goes out of their way to make it right. There is no negotiation... they fix it! There are more reasons to take your vehicle to WA but the most important reason is to make sure that your car is safe to be on the road and doesn't leave you stranded because of something that should have been addressed. WA isn't just a shop for me ... they're a PARTNER and given the demands we all place on our vehicles its a valued partnership.

I’ve used Waterloo Automotive for a few years now and I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else! They’re very courteous and explain everything to you to where you understand what they’re talking about. I’ve never had a bad experience with this company. I recommend whenever people ask about getting something fixed on their car! It’s a great place!

Updating my review since it's been a year: I've got nothing to say but great things about this shop. I've been going here for all of my car repairs and needs since I've moved back home. My car is getting up there in miles and years, so naturally she needs more maintenance than before. While it may not always be the best news, everyone here has always been upfront and honest with what my car needs done. I can promise you that they put their customers and their customer's needs first. They're not going to cheat you by trying to sell you something you don't need. They always send me a text with a full diagnostic of everything they've checked and will include pictures. They're fantastic about returning calls and texts and keeping me informed about costs and times from start to finish.
